We've never ridden Kali before...how do you keep your camera etc dry...is it enough to put it in a ziploc bag to keep it dry...I just am not sure how wet you get on this ride and don't want to ruin the camera...
There's going to be a dry version as well.. the lines are split up half way down into a blue and a brown line...EpcoTim said:Depends on which seat your in. Some of them get completely drenched, others just a few splashes. Best not to risk it with your camera though. A heavy duty ziploc should be fine for most cameras unless your using a big SLR or something.

People in the the blue line will get soaked, people in the brown line will stay absolutely dry...
People in the brown lines will step into special designed rafts which are covered with a canopy and have watertight doors...
This is exactly what I did, but my feet still ended up drenched with water. It just depends on where you're sitting.gboiler1 said:I recall being completely soaked, or at least nearly soaked, but if you put your feet up on the circular bar in the middle of the "boat" you should be safe.
Yeah, it really isn't that exciting. For some reason, I always thought that the ride was a lot longer than it actually is. To me, the queue is a lot more interesting to look at. Don't get me wrong, I love the ride, it's just not worth filming, especially with plastic over the video camera.gboiler1 said:I don't think I'd ever try filming the ride, it's really not that visually exciting, but I suppose you could put plastic over the camera with a hole poked in it for the lens.
Maybe I can film the ride then. Are you sure that the watertight doors won't let any water in at all? I don't want to risk anything, especially getting my feet wet...Corrus said:In autumn you may enjoy the brown line...
You were joking... Right?  :lol:ballewclan said:After all those drownings on Kali I would suppose that sounds like a good option. I was nearly drowned myself when a wave of water covered me after a large unexpecteddrop. Disney seriously messed up on this ride. I would've sued but I turned out OK!
Don't even get me started on those water squirters that nearly made me BLIND!
