I remember reading it would be ran with some water features eliminated. What does that mean exactly? Do you still get the opportunity to get pretty wet on the ride?
So true! The few times we've actually decided to ride this has been the case. The first time I took my then 3-yo son on it, we managed to be the only ones soaked in the entire raft. DS was not amused and ended up most miserable! It's always been that if you go down the drop backwards, you'll get soaked. If you don't, you'll be almost completely dry. There are a handful of water effects that have always worked intermittently but none of them get you very wet at all.

That’s not the point of a rapids ride. If you think Kali is bad, go ride Popeye.Kali River Rapids is such as weirdly-designed attraction. It's one thing to get a spray of water (e.g., Splash Mountain), but it's another thing to get water dumped on you, ruining your shoes and socks for the whole day. Why can't they make slight modifications to the drop, so that riders get wet, but short of a tidal wave?
