soarin' was terrific, and if epcot keeps making additions like this and mission:space last year, the popularity is sure to increase. but soarin' is definately one of the best attractions in the entire resort.

Cant wait to ride in June...but how is the motion sickness factor on Soarin'?

Is it as bad as M:S??

It's not bad at all. I can't ride M:S (or Star Tours) anymore because it makes me sick. Soarin agrees with me just fine. I got to ride it about 4 times in the last week, and rode it in Disneyland, and never had a problem.
You shouldn't have a problem even if you have a problem with M:S.

Soarin' is fantastic there is nothing on Earth like it! Sitting in the bottom row, I honestly felt a need to lift my feet every now and then! And the seats are SO comfortable, I wish I had one for my desk. EVERYONE should ride this ride!

To anyone who might have any reservations about riding Soarin': Just do it!! This is one of the most incredible sensations that I have ever experienced. It is truly an amazing experience that no one should miss! Ask the CM if you can sit in B1, as you will be in the center of the screen in the highest row, so you won't have any feet dangling above you. We rode Soarin' 3 times last week and the CM's were able to accomodate our request (you just might have to wait one ride cycle longer so they can put you where you want to be). This ride rocks!! Wish I had one in my own backyard!! :slurp:

Rode twice last week. No matter how much you hear about it before you go, the experience will not be what you imagined. It is indescribable! This is one of the most thrilling rides I have ever been on.

It is very gentle and even people subject to motion sickness will probably not have a problem. For those afraid of heights: I am mildly afraid of heights - for example, I will not go near a railing of the hotel above about the second floor. But after the initial shock of feeling like you are flying around, there is no problem.

I am glad there was some discussion about being distracted by the feet. I was in row 2 the first time. If you put yourself in the frame of mind that you are flying around with 90 other people in a hugh hang-glider, the feet are not distracting. It is only distracting if you try to imagine that you are by yourself.

When I flew in row 1, I was occasionally distracted by seeing the top of the screen, which you cannot see in the second and third row. Also, I felt like I was bending my neck to look down a lot, whereas in the second row I was looking more straight ahead.

So each row is a little different experience. I'd like to ride in the third row next to see what that's like. I've heard people say it feels like you are closer to objects you fly over.
