Just upgraded to CSR. Any tips?

I just upgraded our accommodations from Pop to CSR for our upcoming Oct. trip. Nothing against Pop, (we enjoy it very much) but with the current room specials I thought we'd splurge a little. We've probably stayed at ten different resorts but never at CSR. I've requested a room in the Cabanas to help cut down on the walking (as if we won't be doing enough of that already). Any other tips? Thanks.

Pop is awesome and the buses are great. Cbr the buses are horrible. But try to get a preferred room close to the main building. You have a better chance at getting a bus that way.

Don't confuse CBR - Caribbean Beach Resort with CSR - Coronado Springs Resort.

OP - If you get your Cabanas request you'll be in great shape. Close to both the main pool and bus stop # 4. Avoid getting on at bus stop # 1, it is usually the busiest. IMO Coronado has the best bus service on property.
Try the Maya Grill for dinner, I find it one of the most under rated restaurants on property.

Coronado is a beautiful resort. We stayed in the Cabanas section, so you were wise to request that. I had really good bus service at CSR and the main pool area is great. If you get the refillable mugs you can refill them at the main pool and at the Pepper Market. I found the store at CSR to be nice too.

Enjoy the relaxation at CSR. It's truly a wonderful resort. My mother almost cried when I told her we had to stay at the BC instead of CSR this coming January.

One of our favorite places to stay, too - bus service is great since the buses only serve CSR and the kids love the gorgeous pool area!

I have stayed there twice, most recently 8/12. Coronado is amazing. The pool, grounds, room, Pepper Market, Panchos...everything is great. The staff there is really friendly and I really enjoyed staying there.

You will want to spend some time in the main pool. I love the slide and the hot tub. Its a great picture spot. The Pepper Market is a great quick service. They even have a small gym.( dumbbells are too small and no real barbells but nice for a hotel.)

I love CSR! And if you don't get your request for Cabanas (like I didn't for my last trip:() don't worry! Casitas is a great section, and will put you near the first bus stop picked up, which is stop #2. As long as you avoid the dreaded Rancho section, you will be fairly close to the main building.

Aww great change. I've always loved Coronado and that was smart to request Canabas. Every time we've done that, our requests always fulfilled. Their quick service is really good and the grounds are beautiful. Enjoy!

Why are the Ranchos "dreaded"?

Ranchos are indeed a long walk from El Centro. However, you can use most of the theme park buses to drop you off at El Centro. That's why El Centro is the last stop for most buses before they leave Coronado Springs and the first stop when they arrive. You can also catch a lift from cast members driving golf carts.

Cabanas is a lot closer to El Centro.

Having said that, it's a beautiful resort. It really has a vacation within a vacation vibe to it. I'd stay there a third time in a heartbeat.

Enjoy!

You are going to love it a CSR!!! It's our favorite moderate resort.... You're not going to want to stay at POP again after staying here. Cabana's is a great section to request. We were in Cabanas 8A last May and loved the location. It was so close to the pool and to the cabanas bus stop and a short 5 min stroll to El Centro. Its a huge resort. Be sure to check out the pool, they have a lot of activities during the day for the kiddo and they roast marshmallows by the pool at night, pretty sure that starts at 7p. There is also an arcade, playground and volley ball courts in the pool area. Enjoy your stay!
