We decided for fall break to surprise the kids with a return trip to HHI. If you read my summer trip report you know that we loved our experience there so much this summer that we bought DVC at that resort and have been anxiously awaiting our return. So...how did it live up to our first amazing experience?

First of all, the HHI resort has the "welcome home" experience down. The lifeguards all remembered us, the second we walked past them. They would say...oh yeah! The people from TN! You guys were here just a few months ago! B'Lou Crabbe, the entertainer on resort, even remembered that my dad is a professional fiddler. This time I did a bit more observing. The lifeguards made a point to learn all the kids' names, and called them by name every time they saw them. How Disney magic is that?

Second, even though the activities were definitely less because it is the off-season, the activities we did were so much fun. The staff at the resort is just amazing.

I can't say enough good things about this resort. We can't wait to return in July. I hope you all get to go sometime...it's totally worth it to make the trip to SC!:sohappy:

My family loves HH resort. Did you find the hidden Mickey tree at the end of the resort? If not, when you go back go on the hunt-it is amazing and not man-made.

We are going next Thanksgiving with a Grand Villa. The Grand Villas there are so nice (in the treetops) and they have real fireplaces and provide all the wood you want.

We actually walk and skip the shuttle over to the beach-beautiful walk!

Can't wait to go back.

The grand villa was right above us and looked super nice. I'm with you, we biked to the beach multiple times a day. Such a nice bike ride, not even worth getting on the shuttle!

We won't be back until July, but I'll anxiously be awaiting our return.

Tonight my three year old was crying in the car. She said, "I'm crying about Hilton Head." I asked her why. She said, "I want to go back there RIGHT NOW!" I know how she feels!

We loved it so much when we went in June that we bought DVC at that resort as well as our DVC at VWL. But this past time we just paid for the room because it was so stinkin cheap! We paid like $140 a night for a studio. Craziness.

Question how do you get to there? Is there a major airport near by? Or Will i have to drive there from NY?

There is also a Hilton Head airport (HHH)

I know Continental (now United) flies into HHH from Newark. I am sure there are flights from either LGA or JFK if those are more your speed.

Savannah is also a very nice city to visit and has a great night life. I would not be adverse flying into Savannah as was suggested and spending a night or two there as well.
