Just me missing the Magic...

Well I now see why people try to go every year.
On Oct 3rd, 2010 we left home for the Most Magical Place in the World, and as the anniversary comes closer, I'm becoming more and more depressed that I have to wait a whole other year until I can go "Home" again (Nov 2012).
Just needed a shoulder to cry on. Thanks for listening, I know you guys understand.

It's hard for me to imagine not going to the world for a year or more. I was born and raised in Orlando, so it's hard for me to understand, but one day I'll be moving due to job opportunities and I'll know what it's like.

Plan

We now plan for a WDW trip only once a year. In the past we would go to the WORLD at least twice and year. But the economy, is hurting us like the majority of people. So, now we go to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. Looking forward to Nov. 30 as our arrival day!! :ROFLOL: :sohappy:

i know how you feel. we have spent the last 2 thanksgivings in the world, and wont be there this year. it is very difficult knowing we wont be there to see the christmas decorations and experiencing the party at MK. so sad. will only make next summer (i hope) that much better.

It was our decision to try to go every other year, that way we could go to other destinations as well, as we can only do one big vacation a year, and little day trips on the weekends.
Our vacation this year was to the Outer Banks. Which being from PA, we usually go to Jersey or MD, so NC was a welcomed change. Its so beautiful down there and we have a wonderful & relaxing time!
Still as halloween & my daughters birthday come closer, I cant help feeling sad, as we celebrated these things last year at Disney.

Aww...poor you! I too get homesick when I've been away from the world for too long.

I've done the yearly trip once. At some point, we decided we shouldn't go to WDW every year. That we should venture out, discover more of the world. So that year we went to Disneyland in LA.

There have been lenghty periods during my life that I didn't visit Disney at all. Fortunately, the last three years now I've visited a Disney park every year, so I'm back to feeling sane again.

Best of luck with the longing. Remember, it will be Nov 2012 faster than you think.

Yeah, I hear ya. Although I'm pretty ticked about this loony Avatar-land Robert Iger is going to shoehorn in DAK (instead of something homegrown and original like Beastly Kingdomme), WDW is hard to resist during the holidays. So despite everything, I'm going to the World in December. I've just got to see the Dreamlights again.

There's nothing like WDW in December. I finally saved enough money to stay at the GF and we will be there dec. 4-7. Can't wait!

I can totally understand how you feel. I have not been able to even bring myself to visit this message board at times as it just drove home the fact I couldn't go!!!

Hang in there though. Look at it this way. At least when you get to go back, you should hopefully have a few new things to experience!!!

I can tell you Martin Smith puts together some pretty good videos that can help take the edge off!!
