January 7th-13th Disney Trip
This is our first January trip and I’m very excite about cooler weathers. We always go in august and you know how that goes! so we are excited to mix it up
This is the first trip that just me, Kara 28 and my daughter Molly,8.
I am a single mom and have been going to Disney with my family for 20 years. I'm very excited about his solo trip
MOLLYS FAVORITES: people mover, teacups, resort pool, mickey waffles, small world
MY FAVORITES: mine train, mickey bars, happily ever after fireworks, epcot
Disney becomes a whole new adventure when you get to share it with your kids
Port Orleans French Quarters
This is our first time staying at PO French Quarters, I have stayed at riverside for the past 20 years (back when it was Dixie landings!) and the past 2 trips with my daughter we have stuck with tradition and stayed there. BUT now it’s time to branch out and try something new, although it’s like dipping our toes in the water (I hear the port Orleans resorts are pretty similar) we are excited to stay somewhere else.
Me and my daughter this past august at the magic kingdom
Her love for the characters grows every year!
This trip has ALOT of firsts
First time on the dining plan(Just quick service)
First time going in January
First time just me and my daughter
First time staying at a different resort
First time with hopper passes(technique 2nd but we never used them on our last trip, opps)
First time going to Epcot Arts Festival
SUNDAY: we arrive at 9:30am in Orlando and will check in. in the past we have never had this day to hit the parks so we don't have definite plans, we will either hit the magic kingdom for some teacups and people movers(My daughters favorite) or pop over to HS. We don't have plans to do HS any other day so we will see how tired we are and what she wants to do.
MONDAY: TAKE ME TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM! we have breakfast at the crystal palace and then will get some serious MK time in and hopefully catch the parade before heading back to the hotel for a rest. We plan to head back over for the fireworks
TUESDAY: are original planned was an epcot day, but I added the hopper so might do something in the morning and then do an after/night of Epcot since they have late magic hours. maybe do illuminations(I hate to admit it but I don't care for them I've seen them way more times than I can count and every time they just seem to be more and more boring )
WEDNESDAY: BACK to the Magic Kingdom! probably do the day and break it up with a rest or go in the afternoon and stay in EMH which is 10.
THURSDAY: probable will try animal kingdom and another park (maybe HS) but might go back to MK, really just winging it lol
FRIDAY: Epcot, this is the first day of the arts festival so we are going to check it out and the head to the beach club's Beaches and Cream for a late lunch before heading back to the hotel .maybe try to get one last MK firework our of the trip
Once again I hate to say it, but we are Epcot and Magic Kingdom all day, everyday people. since this is our first January trip id like to check out Animal kingdom, since I know the weather does affect seeing animals, but we'll see. we also are not super planners which is why the dining plan doesn't work well for us. but we are giving the Quick service a try this year because I'd like to have the "all inclusive feeling" and not have to worry about paying for food as we go.
so although this is my daughters 3rd trip and my millionth I feel like we get to re experience the first time going to Disney excitement!
The face you make when you have to leave Disney its never "good bye", always "until next time.."
