Just got reservations for

the dessert party for our last night at Disney. I am super excited because it just seems like a perfect place to watch the fireworks and a great end to our vacation. Of course this means we will have to cancel our Whispering Canyon dinner reservations for that night but I can live with that. We'll probably just share a QS that night or have something light.

I'm debating on doing this. I talked with my gf previously and she said that it is not something that is necessary, on the TO DO list, but it could be a neat surprise maybe. I can get reservations now, but not sure if I should do it, pay for it, and then her be like 'Why'd you do that, we don't need to do it'

So...should I try to do it as a surprise or wait for her thoughts. We have a dinner reservation on the Sunday we are going to be there at 6 at Downtown Disney (Dessert party reservation open at 9:15) and Monday at 7:10 at Epcot (Dessert party at 9 and 9:15). Which should I go for if I do it?

This will be our first time but based on comments I have read from others I would do the 6pm dinner reservation with the 9:15 dessert reservation

You can always cancel 24 hours in advance if you change your mind.

Unfortunately, no. I am still thinking about canceling because of the cost, but I am going to wait for Bethypoo's report next month before I make a decision.
