We just got back from our 9 night/10 day PH with Water park trip at AS Sports. it was out longest stay, but I had to make up for not going in over 15 months.
- This was our 6th or 7th stay at AS Sports. It works for us, and we've never had a problem. The beds were double-size, and I swear they used to be bigger.
- It rained every afternoon but once or twice. It caused a few shows we wanted to see to be cancelled or shortened, but it didn't mess us up too much. it helped keep things cool, for the most part.
- Pardora is great, but it has changed AK forever. I always liked AK for it's laid-back vibe, but that's history. Progress, I suppose.
- The scooter situation is almost back to an acceptable level. Not sure what was done, but it had gotten out of hand. If only they would do something about double-wide strollers.
- We visited the water parks for the first time. I planned them to serve as rest days, but we ended up enjoying the slides more than I expected and were more exhausted at the end of the day than park days.
- There was only one tour group - I say one, but it was several different teen groups with different color shirts for each sub group. They tried to fire off a chant in the Spaceship earth line, but the cast member wasn't having any of that. She is my hero.
All in all, the crown levels were quite low. Our last day (Jun 23) was hot and MK was pretty crowded, but nothing compared to some crowds I have seen. Any time I saw someone complaining, I wanted to tell them they didn't have a clue.
