I am sad that we won't be going to any Disney parks this trip but I will be getting my fix by going to Downtown Disney :)
My husband's grandmother and my mother are coming for a few days and we are looking for a reasonable place to stay.
I haven't ever stayed off of Disney property and don't want to this time but can't bear staying if we aren't going to the parks.. :(

Any suggestions ???

THANKS !!!!!!!

Nice and close is the Rennaisance Hotel. It is right across the street.

Where to you usually stay at WDW (value, deluxe)? There are a number of places in the area, a Residence Inn, some Marriott vacation club resorts, SpringHill and Homewood Suites by the convention center, that all would have room for you and your guests. FWIW.

If you are feeling like "spinning the wheel" you could always try to get a room on Priceline.

I am seeing that someone got the Clarion Universal for $38 a night, The Crown Plaza for $69 a night and the Hampton Inn Universal for $38 per night.

I am not sure about posting the link to the site I am seeing this on, but if you want it, just send me a PM and I will reply to you with the site.

I just recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn next to Sea World, and found it a solid choice. Clean, comfortable, and more upscale than a typical cheap motel.

We stayed at the international plaza resort and spa. The tower is expensive, but the hotel surrounding it is older and less expensive. We got it on priceline for like $50 a night. The grounds are beautiful but the hotel rooms are ordinary but Ok for a place to sleep and shower.
