Just for fun.....how long would you wait in line for a M&G?

Took about 55 minutes from the time I got in line to when I was finished seeing Jack and Sally. An hour would be my max depending upon the character (which considering WDW's regular mix would not be often).

Usually, I don't care for Meet & Greets but I had an idea that would make M&G's more fun so I plan on waiting for them. Gonna do that on my upcoming trip but I won't mention what it is. I definitely wouldn't wait long, only if it is a few minutes. When I go to the MNSSHP, I'll definitely wait in line for the rarer characters

I wouldn't wait more than 10 minutes, but I don't have kids. I suspect I would have to wait longer if I had a little one that wanted to meet their favorite.

I'll only hop in line if there's just a few people waiting - 5-10 mins. tops. I'd probably extend that just a lil bit if it was some very rare character.

Was that at MNSSHP? If so, do you recall about what time you started in line? My DD and I want to wait for them but are debating when we should attempt. I'm thinking 815-830 when people are waiting for the first parade.

We waited an hour to meet Jack and Sally this trip. But they are rare and we would only get to see them at MNSSHP. The longest after that was maybe 15 minutes for Gaston and 10 minutes for Rapunzel.

From our experience, Jack and Sally had almost an hour long wait all night at our party. We saw them first so we could free up time to trick-or-treat and see the parade and fireworks right after.

I got in line around 11:15pm. Even after I got in people were still coming in behind me and filling up the dedicated queue space. I think (check to be sure) they close the line at midnight, but everyone who's in line before then will still get to see them.

Totally depends on which character we're talking about.

Princess? Waste of my time.

The fab four(excluding Donald), Chip and Dale, Pluto? Around 10 minutes.

Donald in different outfits and rare characters gets additional 10 minutes, so 20.

Scrooge McDuck? You can send my mail to the park of choice because I'd camp out if that meant I'd have the opportunity to meet him.

It depends on which character it is. Since I have no kids (..bit young to have kids anyway..), I still like the M&G's. It's still just as magical for me as it was when I was younger.
Usually, if it's a character I haven't met before, maybe about..45 minutes to an hour. We stood in line to meet Merida for about a half hour this trip. It was my first time meeting her! :joyfull: We were the first family in their, and I gave her the biggest hug!:D She hugged back pretty tightly (my arm hurt after that..haha).
We Fastpassed Mickey for the TST, and I realized..it was only a 5 minute wait..

Other than that, I would wait about a half hour. (Maybe more for Peter Pan. ;))

i think most we waited was 10 minutes. ususally tried to catch them right after a break, or early mornings. not too big on waiting in the long lines so if we wanted a pic of a charater we would just snap one during a parade or something, meeting wasn't a big deal it was more about just having a picture of them

5 minutes, tops.

...unless I was with a child I loved and they wanted to wait. Then, I'd stand there as long as the child wanted to...but I wouldn't stand there longer! If they don't care enough to wait, I'm sure not going to do it for them, lol!!

At this point in my late 20s, kids free life - 5 minutes or less....unless it's a very rare character I have an interest in.

This will probably change when I have kids of my own though, but hopefully we'll be able to keep the waiting down to 30 minutes or less.

Did the hour wait for Jack & Sally this past trip. Otherwise normally 5-10 minutes.

With the technology we have today you would think someone would come up with a portable version of air conditioning for costumed characters.
I'm not sure, but don't they have cooling vests?

Several things have been tried, but nothing really works. Remember, they are heavy to begin with, so adding another 10-20 lbs of gear is no good. I think the cooling vests would end up warming up after about 5-10 minutes, and then were just warm and heavy for the rest of their set.

Too late, I'm already in line for Scrooge McDuck in front of you!
