Southwest opened up booking for the winter months, so i jumped on as soon as i got up.
12/5
Depart BWI at 7:10am
Arrive MCO at 9:30am

12/14
Depart MCO at 12:20pm
Arrive BWI at 2:25pm

Total cost: $282.80
Price includes $12.50 each way for the added Early Bird check in option, which checks me in automatically, earlier than others are able to. If you've never flown Souhwest before, you board the plane in the order in which you checked in. Seats aren't assigned, so getting in first is a big plus.

Thanks. The only minor possible bad thing is that the cheapest fare category, which i chose, is not refundable. I would get "reusable credit" if i had to change/cancel my plans for some reason.
I hope all goes well! I booked my hotel down the same way no refund only a credit. I feel much better about it with a little over 4 weeks to go. I was really nervous over the winter.

I just tried going on SW's site to check prices for our November trip. Most everything from Portland, ME, Manchester, NH and Boston is showing sold out. I've never seen that happen before. They just opened up the booking window. So bizarre....

I read that on another forum, and noticed it myself. It seemed that flights operated by AirTran were the ones showing as Sold Out, not the actual Southwest flights. At least, that's how it was for me searching BWI to MCO.

Upon further review, you are correct. It's the AirTran portions that are sold out. Hopefully it is just a glitch and they fix it soon! We love flying SW and it looks like they're around $250 for the dates we want, out of Portland. Everything else out of Portland is over $300!!

Try calling maybe, or does AirTran still have a separate booking site you can try?
I haven't flown an airline other than SW for years, they do great work.

I tried searching on AirTran's site, but I think since SW came into Portland last month, all AirTran service was suspended from Portland. Hmmmm, very strange. I'll have to keep my eye on it!
