I was too! Somehow I have a ticket with Cinderella Castle on it that is apparently a Disneyland ticket but whatever. Where you there day of?
No, I was there 2 weeks later. It was my mom's big "tour southern California trip" so we only were in Disney for 2 days, 1 day for DL and 1 day for DCA, I wish we stayed longer!! I'm hoping to go back soon though!!

We went for our 2nd time (29 years between the 2 trips). Really enjoyed it. It is different than WDW and some attractions are better than at WDW. Also they still have some attractions that WDW no longer has. DLR still lets you ride in the front of the monorail which was nice also it runs right next to the highway. Enjoy your trip!

Yay!!!! Have an amazing time. One thing I love about DLR is the small details that Walt himself made sure were there. Take a look at the window above the fire station. That was Walt's personal apartment and there is a light burning in the window in his honor. Enjoy my home park! :)

Hey all,

I've arrived! I reserved a supershuttle ahead of time. It went just fine. Don't know of I'll be live blogging/posting, but I wanted to say hi!

I saw tonight's fireworks from the highway. I'll see them up close tomorrow. ;-)

Hi all,

I caught the red eye home last night after three very busy days. And now I'm back at work wearing my new Disneyland t-shirt. Had a great time. Traveling solo & jet lag presented interesting challenges & opportunities.

I hope to write up a trip report, but here's some impressions of the top of my head:

The argument which is better DLR or WDW is like kids fighting over whose dad could beat up whose dad.

The counter service food at DLR was great. Many locations had metal utensils & real plates. Some had live entertainment, like bands. The amount of live music in the streets was fantastic.

I kept thinking, "wow, that's perfectly charming". E.g., Small World's exterior, Alice in Wonderland.

Cars Land is one of the best themed areas I've ever seen. Ranks up there w/Africa & Asia in Animal Kingdom and Wizarding World.

Saw some lovely magic moments: a kid getting a special greeting from Daisy Duck at Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, a newly engaged couple getting a boat for two on Pirates.

Using WDW tickets at DLR was very easy.

I've got to sort through & edit 1500 photos. And get some sleep tonight. It was a tough flight.
