We are on Disney Dream a category 06A verandah room on either decks 8 or 9. I do not want to be below any clubs and try to be near elevators bu not right on top.

I have stayed on both decks 8 and 9 on the Dream, and they are both good. I did not find either room noisy. While on our last cruise we booked at the last minute and were on deck 10, the noise from deck 11 started early and ended late. It was rough, particularly since we had our two year old with us (we still had a great time though). On the Dream I would try to be as close to midship as possible. The ship is so big, if you are either forward or aft it will feel like a quite a hike to get to the other end of the ship.

Ty for the feedback. I think midship is a good idea. If I am going for the 4 night bahamas with a stop in nassua and cc is which is prefered port or starboard

STARBOARD....Sorry, thats where you get the best view for CC. I had 6552 which wasnt far from the stairs or elevator and was just forward of midship, or just aft of forward. There was very little movement felt at that spot. Maybe you can look into a simiar stateroom.

My advice would be trying to be mid ship on which ever deck you choose. We had very rough seas and due to a plumbing issue had to move from a room in the middle on deck 2 to a room on deck 6 in the front. The room on deck 2 was much more tolerable during the weather. When you are mid ship you avoid a lot of walking time.

I am such a moron when it comes to nautical terms, I live in the mountains, so that will be my excuse.... Which side is starboard and which is port when one is facing toward the front of the ship? Our first cruise is in 9 days!!! :D And our room is on the left side when facing toward the front.

I.am.so.excited. I can barely stand it!
