Just booked Dec 6-11 and MVMCP Dec 7th

I was one of the lucky ones who got the email special, and I just called and booked the Carribbean Beach from Dec 6 - 11. I also bought tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on Dec 7th.

Anyone else going that week? I'd love to hear about MVMCP too. It will just be me and my 4 year old daughter this trip. (unless the Army cancels my husband's orders for Korea, which is unlikely)

I will be going from 12/3 - 12/11. Haven't booked the resort yet because we plan on checking out the mods this trip and decide which one we want. We are planning on hitting MVMCP on Tues or Thurs of that week (or both!) with the remainder of the nights checking out MGM and Epcot

We'll be there Dec 7-12. I haven't booked anything b/c I'm waiting to see if AP rates will come out and we haven't decided yet between Contemporary and Boardwalk. We're also planning to check out MVMCP! I've heard lots of great things about it, so we're looking very forward to it. :sohappy:

I'm thinking of going the week of Nov 29. How early should I get tickets for MVMCP? I heard they sell out quickly. Is MVMCP something that occurs everynight or only on selected nights? And, do I purchase them when I book my rooms? I've never visited WDW while they have these after-hours celebrations so I'm not really sure where I get these tickets. Thanks!

We MAY be there Dec 7 - 12th. We're just not sure yet. I received the email with the great room rates so that was an incentive to make a decision quickly! If we do go, we'll probably be at MVMCP on Thur night.

EDIT: You know, I've been seeing a lot of people making plans for the first couple of weeks in Dec. It looks like the secret is out about this great time to visit the parks. Hopefully our lovely and almost empty parks will not fill up this year!

The reason why you see that is because those who have the inside scoop book it. It's the 10s of thousands of others who aren't insiders who don't even think about this time of the year!
I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's bound to be less crowded than this up coming week which I will be in attendance!

Thanks! We like going this time of year. If it's going to be hot and crowded, might as well spend the time in WDW instead of on the subways and offices in Philly!!

The email special was $49 per night for Value and $79 per night for moderate. I got the Carribbean Beach for $79. It was discussed in another thread, I guess Disney randomly sent the special offer to people? It was a special 12 digit personalized code and phone number to call, not the standard three letter code.

I am going December 7 to December 12. My first time going and I am so excited. We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort too.

It's starting to look like there will be enough people around in December that there could be a holiday MEET. That would be fun. We're hoping to head down either the first or second week of December. Sounds like we'll have some folks to share the parks with. We went the second week of December last year and it was wonderful!

I wont' be there in December, but will be in October. I've seen the MVMCP last year and loved it. Of course, last year there were no Osbourne Lights, so I missed out on that, but the after hours stuff was a lot of fun.

In October, I'll be doing the Not So Scary Halloween party and am looking forward to it. I can't wait. These are "hard ticket" items meaning you do need to purchase these tickets in advance over the phone. They will send them to you so don't lose them and don't forget them at home :lol:
