so heres out 2 cents...
stayed at baylake towers half the trip...magic kingdom view lovely as usual!
went to gatorland zoo and did the trainer for a day....OMG....1 word....AWESOME!!!!!!!! WE have done trainer for a day at many places....back stage saffari in AK, trainer in seaworld, trainer discovery cove...this.THIS blew it all out the water! wrestled a gator, handled animals we NEVER thoough we could touch! learned so much....highly recomended!
left bay lake for beach club.....not beach club is in dire need of a face lift! The pool no longer has the sinking sand...bummer...the room was dark and musty....the carpet had stain....really not what you would expect in a deluxe resort!
the buses all seemed to be running late and the cues for fast pass are still a mess....i wish they would just get rid of this magic band thing all together....we waited ...in fast pass not less....45 mins to ride space mountain! The 3rd ride on our fast pass plus (dinsour) broke down so we couldnt make more pics because we never finished the last ride...had to go to guest services to have them override it :-( that took 1 hour in itself.
the weather was the wierdest part of the trip! usually in aug you get the rain storm around 3 that pours for 15 mins then stops...well it did start at 3 and did pour for 15 mins but then spinkled all night after ...a real light haze....then at night so much thunder and lighting i thought we were in war of the worlds lol
this trip between the quality of the room, the loooonnnngggg bus waits, fast pass debacle, i can honestly say we had more fun at universal studios and the best time at gator land than we did in disney....this coming from a guy who goes every yr 2x a yr....as prices have gone up i honestly dont know where the moneys going for the 1st time in 20 yrs i feel like it was on a decline....would love to hear what other disney fans think if they have gone lately ...
