Just an FYI, but the rumors will fly.

Me, my wife and two kids are all included in my disney experience with rooms, dining and tickets.

When I have made reservations for fast passes, I always check everyone in my party and it always says reservations for 4. But a day later, my itinerary says reservations for 3. Every day there is one ride that leaves a different person out.

Thank you, I was curious if there was a special condition for anyone in your group that might cause it. Doesn't sound like it.

Yes, park hopping with FP+ is coming. That was confirmed to me by GS CM's. There is, however, no date released for when it will be here.
Tells me the collective "we" figured out the extra charge for hopping had become a lot less useful under the regime MM hopper rules and FP minus. Some bean counter caught on some of us are smarter than they thought.

Implementing park hopping has been in the plans since day one, so don't get hurt patting yourself on the back.
Yeah this Disney group trying to make this work is real competent. They should all run for congress. I have heard of no "tests" involving patrons of any business going on this long and still having breakdowns in the system every day with this kind of price tag. Just at the park front line level hundreds of new positions were created for the purpose of training us how to use this system. On another thread is a report of the phone aps not working in the park again over the weekend. Happens a lot. System crashes a lot even after all this time of testing. I live in central Fla and visit the parks maybe twice a year if friends or family come on vacation. Never used MM minus or FastPast minus or the old paper fast pass. The parks have become to stale. Years ago I went a bit more often. My profession gives me the opportunity to visit all the other parks world wide and I lived a short distance from Disneyland for many years. I know what the parks can be like.

I have many friends and neighbors working for the Mouse from front line cast to high levels of management that share what they are putting up with to make Burbank look good.

I, like you, know it is all about the data mining and control of the guest. I simply would appreciate the vast sums of money be spent on the appearance of the parks and added attractions.

Park hopping should be free of charge with purchases of park entrance. They are actually losing revenue by charging for park hopping. I'll be attending Sunday this week thru next Sunday. I'll check on fp+ph options. I'm digging the new fast pass online system but not liking the 3 fast pass maximum. Kinda blows.

Just about every project started by Google has been in "beta" for years, many had lots of bugs and cost hundreds of millions in development.

Agreed, whether it will be an up charge to do so has yet to be seen.

As for the survey for me:

1. Yes... It worked fine before why should this work differently.(I always thought fast pass should be a premium service though)
2. Yes!!! I can maybe spend a day at Mk and maybe Epcot but in my past few visits I have always hopped every day at least 2 parks per day. Its the only way to feel like the parks are still filled with activities for me.
3...... We had to because one out of the 2 pass we linked to our bands didn't work. When they asked us if we wanted to reserve fast passes they looked at us like we had 2 heads when we said we wanted to pick more than one park.

They are definitely looking at ways to park hop. Again, I'll say it: The old distribution rules weren't broken. There was no reason to change them this drastically.

As to the "losing money on park hopping" argument, this was brought up a few months ago in a thread and there was a reasonable enough explanation, I just don't remember what it was.

People seem to forget MyMagic+ is STILL TESTING. So your prediction was right about just waiting, because anything can change with the system at a moment's notice without warning. I didn't even look at the FastPass thing as an issue. They were building a brand new system, so you start with the easiest things first and then work your way to the most advanced part of the system which is multi-park FastPasses.

Well then they should have kept legacy FP in place longer if all this is still testing. They could have kept legacy in place and it would have been great for those of us who like to park hop

The problem with that would be that the total inventory was the same. As more guest were given FP+ reservation capabilities, the number of legacy FPs available decreased. It would have been a miserable experience for FP+ and legacy users if they left both system in full operation once FP+ was nearly globally available.

In 2013 WDW hired a small company from Miami to do a survey at the parks in reference merchandise purchasing. They found that most guests that were willing to eat at other parks or buy merchandising didn't want to purchase park hopper just to be able to do so. A annual net income survey was done as well for those family members. Turns out most were in the ranges between 75k-158k. It's simple math really. If your at a park and finish early, example AK and were willing to go to another park that person would probably eat or buy merchandise. Even if they would be visiting that park the very next day. Apparently WDW had already thought about those losses in previous years so they got close by raising drink prices.

It dropped 2 off of one of our days this weekend. Luckily I checked a few minutes before park open and added them back on. We did have to move a ride time back because earlier times were gone.

Pre-2pm FPs are getting tough to come by.

So, on April 1st when I make my FP+ reservations can I make them all for the entire trip or do I have to log on each day on the 60 day mark? Also, if I take a screen shot or print off the FP+ reservations will they honor those reservations or will I just be out of luck if my reservations get dropped? thanks

What percentage of guests purchase parkhoppers?

You will be able to make them for your entire stay, but only as many days as you have tickets. This is why you must have your tickets linked, if they're standalone. For example, if you're there 10 days and have 8-day passes, you will only be able to make FP+ reservations on a total of 8 days.

You can screenshot or print them if you'd like. While people have been reporting that the website and app occasionally display incorrect information, I have yet to read a report from someone who actually had their FPs lost. We visited 2 weeks ago and it worked flawlessly, even while the app would occasionally say "1 reservation" under a FP instead of "2".
