just a quick contemporary question.

I am about to visit WDW with my family on Feb. 18th,and recently I saw a picture of the inside of the Contemporary Resort and it looked like there was a wall up where the arcade and little cafe used to be? I don't really mind the cafe not there,but what about the arcade? Is that gone?
its me and my brothers favorite thing to do when we aren't going into a park on a day.

The arcade is now on the fourth floor, the concourse area, where the shops and restaurants are located. It replaced one of the gift shops. It is smaller than the previous huge arcade, sorry to say, but I think there is still a big variety of games and room for the air hockey table, I believe.

they messed it all up, the arcade is where the old shop used to be (on the side closest to the monorail) and the new shop is right out in the middle of the floor... the place looks all cluttered now, and it doesnt look as great and grand as it used to

I was afraid the arcade was going to add a lot of noise to an area of the Contemporary that I always loved for it's quietness. However I've been told that it hasn't been much of an issue.

The new shop just doesn't seem like a fit with the Contemporary...maybe because we're all so used to the old look of the Concourse? It's funny, the Contemporary is probably the ONE resort we've ALL been inside.

The former Fiesta Fun Center is going to become a new table service restaurant. When that opens, the Concourse Steakhouse is going to close to become the new quick service food location. The arcade is now located on the 4th floor in the space previously occupied by the Fantasia store.

This is all good info!! We are probably staying at the Contemporary on our next trip! We LOVE Chef Mickey's! And my DH loves the bar just outside CM!! I am sad Concourse Steak House is going away! I wanted to try that! My kids will love the arcade and won't be sad as they never saw the old one!! As someone already asked...any pics??? :wave: TIA for the info! Good stuff!
