Plans changed, and now I'm going down to Disney in June with my girlfriend. Does anyone know of any nice romantic places to eat, or any other things that would be romantic that I could bring her to? She's never been to Disney before, and I want her to have a really nice time.

I love Disney World for the romantic dinners.. and to me.. the most magical are :

1. Fultons Crabhouse in Downtown Disney.. a must do at night.. its lit up so nice sittn there on the lake. Request the blue room up top.. its lit real soft blue. If you get a reservation for like 9:30pm you can do the parks during the day then head to Downtown Disney at night and you'll see Fultons Crabhouse sittn there in the water.. big boat. :sohappy:

2. Liberty Tree Tavern.. not romantic exactly.. but theres no better first dinner to me for a Disney First timer. Its right smack in the middle of the Magic Kingdom.. and the theme inside is so comfy.. plus the characters come to your table and interact with you. The food is thanksgiving/xmas dinner style.

3. La Cellear.. To me this was romantic.. a very small restuarant tucked away inside the wine cellar of a castle in Candada at Epcot. We ran in there to avoid a thunderstorm one night and it was really cozy.

Just a few more from my wife and I -

1. request a window seat 180 days out for the California Grill during the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom - it seems like you're the only people there - they dim the lights, pipe in the music and it's really neat.

2. Hang out for a few minutes after the fireworks in Epcot. Then slowly take you time taking the long way around the world showcase towards the front - we've been the last ones leaving the area MANY times and it's very romantic.

3. My wife recommends the bistro in Paris (the top floor of Chefs) - I tend to agree - very nice restaurant - you can dress up for it and it's a very exclusive feeling place. Really nice - they left us alone, and we had a VERY romantic dinner with excellent service.

Mainly, just TAKE YOUR TIME!

If you go slow, you'll enjoy yourselves much more than if you're in a rush. We went for our honeymoon and first anniversary and we really enjoy the romantic part of the parks - there's lots - just take a look!

P.S. Won't be much for us this time though - we're taking our 2.5 year old this time for her first time to the World! Wish us luck!

Dinning:
The Coral Reef at Epcot

Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian (You will spend at least $200 for two people but the romantic atmosphere is well worth it)

California Grill at the Contemporary during fireworks (Yes, You should book it as soon as possible)

Shows:
La Nubia at DTD(Incredible show that would go well after a romantic dinner)

Fantasmic (Another incredible show)

Rides:
I cannot think of any romantic rides in the parks, but a private fireworks cruise on seven seas lagoon is very romantic. My wife and I took one after dinner at Victoria and Albert's.

I would like to suggest timing dinner and dessert in the castle with the night-time fireworks. Very nice.

Narcoosees at Grand Floridian is great, and time it for the start of fireworks and you can watch them from your table, or outside of the restaurant there is a wraparound deck over the lagoon.

You can go on a carriage ride at either Ft. Wilderness or at Port Orleans Riverside. ($30 for 30 mins.) You can book the breathless for a romantic moonlight cruise.

I would suggest the Coral Reef for a romantic restaurant. Also a stroll through the rose garden in the UK pavilion.

The Bistro (upstairs) restaurant in the France pavilion is considered romantic along with Le Cellier in the Canada pavilion.

Walking along the pathway that leads from the Polynesian with it's tiki torches lit near the beach to the Grand Floridian is a nice romantic stroll. You can see the castle in the distance all lit up at night.
