I know that Hollywood received an upgrade based on Jurassic world. Does the Orlando park also have the same upgraded it is still the same ?

I think that any difference between the two rides are scrapped because of the economic decline. I'm gonna take a stab at it and say it'll be an exact clone of the hollywood version and they'll announce it in 2022 when Jurassic World Dominion drops in June 2022, it'll close in early September and open in June in 2023, similar to Hollywoods version's opening. But those dates are only if the florida travel industry sees good numbers soon.

A lot of it could depend on the investment and development of Epic Universe and whether the original plans there would still be in tact. It's possible the new park combined with the pandemic travel economy will tie up the Parks budget for a while and push back any non-routine maintenance expenses for attractions. However the possibility of funding being redirected elsewhere could come if plans for Epic Universe get scaled back from it's original proposal due to the pandemic economy.

I'd honestly be surprised if EU opens this decade. With everything that has happened, it's not really a smart financial decision to spend billions of dollars on a new park when no one knows really when the florida travel industry will be back. I'm sure to tie everyone over Nintendoland will move over to UO and EU will come at some point, but a modified version.

On the other hand it just might save the Florida travel industry.....

Yes thats true, but I've never seen Comcast as a company to take risks and spend a large sum of money within the next five years. And for anyone who says velocicoaster was a large investment during the pandemic- I heard that Intamin did a deal with Universal where there is a discount if you purchase two coasters. So UO paid a majority of the sum for velocicoaster before the pandemic. It would have been a financially bad decision to have not gone through with the project and put it on hold.

semantics: Jurassic World: The Ride/River Adventure is coming to Universal Florida. Dread it, run from it, destiny still arrives.

It is 100% going to happen in Orlando. Jurassic Park: The Ride's days in florida are numbered.
I was told that it was either the river ride redo or the Velocicoaster. Not both.

The JP:TR redo consists of basically 3 new effcts/scenes. The Mosasaur screens, the running Velociraptor, and the Indo finale. We know that the running raptor will be at the end of Velocicoaster. I have a strong suspicion that the Mosasaur screens may end up as a quasi preshow walk through in the Velocicoaster queue. So maybe sometime down the road we may get the Indo finale, but I don't see that as a priority.

I can still see them doing a light retheme to JW without the new scenes, or maybe just one (though hopefully not the Indo finale, I like Tiffany very much, so, the Mosasaur), which would be ok I guess. I know it's thematically inconsistent, but I would really like to keep River Adventure as JP. If push comes to shove, however, I'd want to keep the Visitor Center above anything else.

Well is there any talks of a River Adventure refurb? I mean at some point there has to be a big refurbishment, and the ride is showing it's age. So either they spend alot of money on refurbing the attraction and the animatronics or they spend (a bit?) more money on just refreshing the attraction to mainly a thematic consistency. I think they'll go with the latter. But I do understand how the show scenes might be too similar to warrant a Jurassic world river adventure change. They might have to change the show scenes which will cost more money.
