The T-Rex was broken all of last week and the week before...

does anyone know how long this has been broken for, what is wrong with it and/or when it will be fixed?

Rumor has it they've been having some technical problems with him for the past few months...and that a closure of the JPRA is supposed to happen later this month for a complete refurbishment. We'll see if this happens.

I went back in March. The T-Rex was on and off during my 3 days in the parks. It is awesome when working. The final drop is a lot less dramatic without him

It was disco t-rex all last week and the week before the audio for the part you are supposed to get knocked off course from (is it hadrosaur cove) also never worked so the story wasn't as strong.

Universal is taking a cue from Disney by shutting rides down with last minute notice. Nice.

Anything's possible, but don't count on it. From what I've heard, it won't be open again until around Memorial Day.

And it's already broken... again.

While I think it should be a 101 kind of figure since it is such an important showpiece, it is not broken again.

They were testing some of its functions with the other stuff it seems and went over some extreme things to see what they need to do to fix it long term while the ride was down for "refurb"

Hopefully they get it fixed soon. At least it does not seem to be another Yeti case.
