Really! Wow im surprised...
I preferred the jeep by far I wasn't expecting it and it took me by surprise... Although I think it's more tempromental than the box.... Because I've only seen it working a couple or times!
I think the drop is bigger in Florida right?

The jeep is cool and more movie like but at the same time I prefer the crate better. You just don't expect something over your head to fall and come within a foot or two from your scalp. There is also no visible track or cable. In Hollywood you usually end up seeing the effect reset, which kind of kills some of the magic of feeling like you are the only ones witnessing that.
They're both 85 feet.

The Florida version was updated to reflect the upcoming movie. For example, the JP logo that gets clawed resembles the JP3 logo and replaced the first encounter with the T-Rex in Hollywood.

No, I meant the end drop... I was under the impression IOA's was slightly taller.

I can't comment about Hollywood since I have never been there yet. But I think the one in Orlando T-Rex does get rather close to you. The first time I rode this in 2002 I clearly remember thinking I had to duck just before the drop. I wasn't expecting him to get so close. Now, obviously he wasn't that close where I had to duck, but I got that feeling psychologically. In the picture that they snap I am covering my head and sort of looking up.
So yeah I think he gets close enough to you. I just think the entire experience of going towards a giant T-Rex and then just before he can get to you, you drop 85 feet. It's quite the experience.

And at least you get that sense of awe/fear, versus a split second pass by a yeti that leaves you with a "what was that supposed to be?" feeling - at best. :brick:
