I'm sure this isn't in the right area to post, but I didn't know where else to go.
ANYwho, my friend and I are disney fanatics. Like everyone else on these forums, we love themeing, design, and the "Feel" Disney gives people. With that in mind, we decided to turn my friend's dorm room into a jungle.
Taking hints from Swiss Family Robinson Tree house, Jungle Cruise, and Rainforest Cafe, we came up with a pretty popular solution. The room contains 15 lights which are controlled by a computer. We can run "timed events" such as thunderstorms, music, etc. We also have an animatronic monkey (From Sharper Image), many hand made props that appeared "weathered" from the jungle, and many fake plants.. the total on this project is up to $2,500. :zipit:
Also, 2 weeks ago a producer from HGTV found the videos of the room online and contacted me about taping it for a special they're doing about "crazy" dorm rooms.
Take a look and tell me what you think - you may hear some Disney references in a few of the videos... :animwink:

Unfortunately the videos don't show the detail very well. Almost anyone that comes in to see it (which is several hundred) always comments how it "feels like Disney" or feels like they're in line for a ride. The ambience is super peaceful. Hope you all like it.
