I agree I don't like AK it's my least favorite park at WDW. The only thing I like at AK is Lion King and the safari.

I first heard about the rumor about the Jungle Cruise closing in 1999. At the time I really didn't think that Disney would close it. It seems that this new rumor might have some more merrit though. I have heard it from a few different sources that are not connected and not spreading the same rumor. It seems to vary from source to source. However, a few CM's have all dismised it as just a rumor (perhaps Disney is trying to keep this information from getting to the guests by NOT letting the CM's know?). I have also heard that this could be part of the announcement on May 18'th. I suppose we will see next week.

If the Jungle Cruise closes to make way for a new E-Ticket adventure, or it receives a major overhaul then this is a good thing!

Disney cannot let an aging E-Ticket like the Jungle Cruise sit idle for too long without changing / updating it. This is the same type of problem that another original MK E-Ticket had (20k Leagues).

That being said, I love the Jungle Cruise and its lame jokes

Well, I have to say that jungle cruise really needs the rehab. It is in poor condition.

I think it will get a rehab (even though it went down a couple of years ago) and stay opened. I don't think it will go anywhere because it is still pretty popular.

Before the flaming begins, I want to let it be very clear that I don't think AK is just a zoo.

That being sad, it's just stupid to think that people will flee JC for AK because of the real animals. JC is much more than that, it's about realistic animatronics, beautiful sights and wonderfully corny jokes.

And it's not that I don't like AK. I like the Tarzan and Lion King shows, I think Dinoland is amazing (I know I'd be there in a sec in my first trip, back in 1990, when I was a little tyke), and I love It's tough to be a Bug. That tree is beautiful, their theming is amazing. BUT we have something very similar to those safaris here in Brazil. It's called Simba Safari. Now, it's not as big (installation-wise). I hear AK's has this whole poachers attack thing going on, and in ours you kinda ride around the animals in your own car, and they get really close to the windows and stuff. So it wasn't no big news for me, really. I plan going on my next trip, after all, we gotta know everything. But I justa wanna to make clear that seeing animals live really is not a big deal to a lot of people, not only those that still think AK is a zoo.:animwink:
