Jungle Book AP Party Characters

On September 29th at Animal Kingdom there will be an Annual Passholder party celebrating the DVD release of Jungle Book. Col Hathi and Mowgli are supposed to be out for meet n greets at the party. If you are a character fan these would be 2 very good finds!!

According to my resource (which is pretty up-to-date and accurate) these two characters have not appeared before. Does anyone know if they are new design, or the site I use is just inaccurate?

Col Hathi and Mowgli have been in the parks before. It has been some time since they've been seen. Col Hathi is a special events character. There was talk of bringing Mowgli back out for MNSSHP in 2005, but that was just a rumor. I was hoping that AK might have these characters out during regular park hours to celebrate the dvd release, but I doubt that will happen.

I can only wish. I know there were rumors a couple years ago that they had talked about bringing Mowgli out at MNSSHP
