June or Oct crowds? Which is lowest?

Haven't been to IoA since 99, haven't been to US since 94. We have two short Disney vacations planned:

June 10-14 at Yacht Club
Oct 22-26 at Poly

Which month would be best to go for the least amount of crowds at both parks? Our goal is to buy a 1 day 2 park ticket and ride all of the real big rides. Is this possible for one day? Which time period is less crowded? It will be a theme park commando day, and we want to make sure we can get on everything from ET to Mummy and Potter to Jurassic Park.

Not looking to go to Halloween Horror Nights. Just a full day in 2 parks.

Thanks for the tips/ advice.

June is infinitely more crowded than October. Not much to compare, really. One is peak season, the other is offseason. Of course, the parks will close much earlier in October, especially if it's a HHN night, so you'll have to take that into consideration.

Riding the major attractions in one day is possible, but I don't recommend it. Especially once WWoHP opens.

October is always better... but Columbus week or any HHN day will fill the parks more than usual. Plus, it's cooler in October.

(And, pretending we know nothing about the existence of "soft openings" at all, there is no guarantee the WWoHP will be open during your June trip)

We were there the third Wed. in October in 2009, and it was pretty quiet. We were able to do exactly what you said - hit almost all of the rides/attractions in both parks in one day (WITHOUT an Express Pass). The only big ones we missed were RRR (and that was because it went down shortly after opening), Terminator and the Jurassic Park ride. Because certain attractions don't open until certain times, we had to walk back and forth between the two parks a few times, but we didn't mind the exhausting day. It was worth it.
