June 30-July 2 or July 1-July 3?

Hey, I'm taking my girlfriend on a trip to Disney (staying at Pop) in about a month. I booked reservations from June 30-July 3, but now she says she only wants to go for 2 nights/3 days.

June 30th is a Friday.

We plan on just hanging out, going to Downtown Disney/whatever on the first day; Islands of Adventures the second day; and Animal Kingdom the third day (and go home that night).

My question(s):

Which three days are better? June 30-July 2 or July 1-July 3?

Also, what kind of activities could we do on the first day? I figure we could end the night at Hard Rock or something, but if we arrive early (10 am or so), we need things to do. Thanks!

I notice it looks like you're staying far away from the main Disney but I have to say I feel you're missing out! I have always loved the magic of Disney, even through all my teenage and young adult phases :p

In Epcot you can "travel around the world" and have a drink in each country. In the Studios I've spent days and days going back and forth from the Rock N Roller Coaster to Tower of Tower...quite an adrenaline rush!

Sorry, I should have mentioned that we were just there in March, and we visited MGM, Magic Kingdom and Epcot :king:

We are making the return trip because we have two nonexpiring Universal tickets (will use one each this trip) and we just want to take a short vacation.

Epcot was something we didn't get to see everything, but we want to cut back on spending so we're just doing the two parks.

I have a feeling that it really won't matter if you are thinking about the crowds. Normally, I'd say during the week would be better, but considering that is the week of July 4, it's going to be crowded no matter when you go. Just go in knowing that it is going to be crowded and enjoy which ever days you choose. Have fun!:wave:

I am going down the 30th because the space shuttle is schedule to go on the 1st but I know how the shuttle schedule goes so I am staying to the 11th. And the new pirates of the caribean comes out the 7th. There is also a big rate change on the 5th.

Well, The space shuttle is scheduled for launch from Kennedy on the 1st of July at about 3:45 P.M. alot of things could change this. I was there last at the space center for the launch, it is incredible. The room rates drop considerably on the 5th. The new Pirates of the Caribean movie comes out on the 7th and the ride re-opens.

Do you think Pop Century rates will drop?
