Was at AKL (Jambo House) between 6/14-6/20.
We stayed at the resort during the day and hit the parks at night. This was our 1st June trip and we were worried about the heat and crowds. It was warm but we swam or napped during the day. We went to the parks around 6:00 each night for dinner, then started hitting the rides about 7-8 p.m.
Here is what I recall:
MK During Extra Magic Hours
Philharmagic: Waited 1 Show
Peter Pan: 15 Minutes during Extra Magic Hours
Winnie the Pooh: 15 Minutes during Extra Magic Hours
Splash Mountain: 40 Minutes Posted, really about 15
Big Thunder Mountain: 20 Minutes Posted, really about 10
Epcot During Extra Magic Hours:
Spaceship Earth: walk-on
Mission Space: 10 minutes
Test Track: 15 minutes
Soarin: 50 minutes posted, really about 30 minutes
Animal Kingdom During Extra Magic Hours
EE: Went many times, wait times posted were between 40-60 minutes but actual times were closer to 20-25.
Dinosuar: 15 minutes
Kali River Rapids at 10:00 p.m.....walk-on
MGM (HS) During Extra Magic Hours:
RRC: 40 minutes but had a EMH fast pass so not sure of actual time
HTTH: 40 minutes
TSM: 60 minutes
While we didn't get to do much at the parks, it was a very relaxing trip and fun trip. The trick for us visiting in the summer is to hit the parks REAL late...to where we get back to the resort at maybe 1:00 a.m., sleep until 10:30 or so...that way we can run down to Mara or Boma to eat breakfast, then swim or pass out in the room again until 3 or 4. Then get ready and hit the parks. Missed the rain, missed the heat and missed a lot of the crowds.
Plan to go back in June 2010 to stay in a 2 Bedroom BLT Lake View!!!!
