Jumping the Reservation Gun... Anyone Else?

So this morning I got up bright and early to Facetime my brother and make our Fastpass+ selections. Once in the app, however, I couldn't get past the first screen where it says "Link your ticket to your party". It kept telling me that we had to link our tickets, and then that we had already done that when we tried! After about 10 minutes of trying and failing, I finally called the help line and explained my situation. The lady who helped me (shout out to Justine) politely informed me that I was a day too early! How embarrassing! Anyone else get a little too excited when trying to plan your trip?

I can relate! I haven't ever logged on too early to make plans, but I do tend to jump the gun in other ways. I've had a vacation binder started, along with budget sheets, potential touring plans, dining menus/selections/cost breakdowns, and even park maps -- which I've been revising and adding to since June 2014... for our upcoming trip in NOVEMBER 2016!

When my wife says I spend too much time planning WDW trips, I will refer her to you :)

I have logged in a day too early too. But sometimes I just log in to look at the upcoming reservation on the screen. Sometimes I just like to see it there staring me in the face. I've also miscounted and thought my day to make fp+ was the next day and I was surprised to see that I was at the 60 day mark. I had logged in quick while my students were taking a test and saw I could make the fp+, so let's just say the students weren't well supervised during that test!;)

Haven't done this but I did make my husband book yesterday off work as fastpass opened at lunchtime and I wanted a child free house to concentrate  Did get everything we wanted though and they fit perfectly around dining plans. So excited :joyfull:

Late update: We did get everything we wanted and haven't had any problems rearranging fastpasses for last minute plan changes (do we want to do MK on this day or that one?) Fastpass+ just enables Type A planners like me! :p

I actually thought I could add the names ahead of time in the fastpass+ page, trying to save time when the day came to actually make the choices. It did exactly the same thing.
