July vs. August and EMH's

I know they are both steaming hot, I know they are both incredibly crowded, I know the afternoons always bring torrential rain. I'm confused as to why some days in July are showing less crowds though. Discounts at the end of August maybe?

Either that or any type of touring plan is hogwash. I think the summers are a good time to use EMH morning. Anyone agree?

I prefer evening EMH's at any time of the year.

Most people go great guns for the first hour or so of them, then get exhausted and call it a night. By the 3rd hour, most attractions are walk on (last summer, I got to ride Splash Mountain continuously without having to get off for almost an hour during the end of evening EMH).

That same night, my friend and I rode the very last Jungle Cruise voyage...totally alone. Our skipper gave us the "After Hours" version of the ride. It was...extra funny.

The last time we went in July (of 2009) I was surprised at how light the crowds were. We were there on a weekend and most things were 30 minute or less wait the entire time. We'd expected much larger crowds and were pleasantly surprised.

I prefer evening EMHs. We usually hit a park and leave by midday, spend some time at an inside activity or the pool, and then go back for the evening when most people have reached their max and are heading out.

But if you're early morning types anyway, then morning EMHs make the most sense.

I think some people are now going during times which once were considered value season (ie. October, November, January, May, even the first week of December was jammed). I wonder if the months which aren't in the discount period are going to be less busy this year. I think April, July and beginning of August aren't discounted.
