My family will be in Disney July 4 for a karate tournament that weekend. We will not be purchasing park tickets (the agenda is very packed with karate stuff), but would like to take the group to see the July 4 fireworks. Where would you suggest is a good place to watch the fireworks, that is NOT in a park?

We are DVC so the lounge in BLT is an option, but not sure we can get our group of over 25 in (most are not DVC).

The lounge will likely (as in previous years) be closed to all DVC guests with the exception of those staying at Bay Lake Tower itself on points 7/3 and 7/4.

Polynesian Resort beach is an option for MK firework viewing, and the Boardwalk area would offer a good view of the Epcot show.

Grand Floridian beach and walk way give a great view and they stream the music into the resort, go by the boat docks

Where ever you go arrive early.
July 4th is CRAZY. We were in the MK 3 years ago for the 4th. It was insane they closed the doors at 1:00 - it was capacity.
Amazing fireworks though - - just amazing!!!

Agreed. The 3rd and 4th are listed as "blackout dates" for TOTWL.

Similarly, the Poly may well be closed to all but guests of the resorts and those with an ADR there.

I would suggest maybe the Terrace outside the Contemporary 4th floor, where the skyway to BLT comes in.

The best views though would be the TTC itself, beside the ferry dock.

A couple years ago we went there to just see the fireworks. We were at the TTC and at a certain time they shut down the ferry. They invited everybody down by the water where the ferry normally picks up. It was a awesome location and they pipe the music into there.

We were considering riding the monorail a couple of times without getting off. Would that work?
You will not have a very good view.
With 25 people I would definitely try the TTC... maybe try to book a fireworks cruise if available? Maybe they have a private cruise for a large group like that.. this would be a lot of fun!
