You can view the ones behind the Magic Kingdom (the usual shooting place) or the ones that are shot up from the middle of the Seven Seas Lagoon on the island. They are IDENTICAL.

Not this year. The Island and Main Site will be slightly different.

As far as I know, they aren't even closing Fantasyland this year for the 4th

Yes the normal shut down in Fantasyland will occur. There will be rooftop pyro shot for this years redesigned show. Also perimeter sites will have the most shots that the MK has ever done. The normal perimeter shows shoot 10 shots (AE: MNSSH, MVMCP). This years 4th will be well over that.

Well actually I have witnessed and filmed wishes twice from the ferry landing and they look even bigger and definately more beautiful from there than inside the park, even though there is distance.

FYI: I was at MK for the Fourth of July a couple years ago, and though it was moderately crowded, it was not bad. I am going again this year, and my most recent call to reservations showed availability and Passholder discounts still available at every resort I asked about, even Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge and Poly.

I don't think the crowds are unmanageable. My other recollection is that the crowd doesn't pick up until later in the week, after people have spent the actual Independence Day weekend at Daytona Pepsi 400. The Daytona crowd tends to show up for the second half of the week.

And, hey Steve, just curious. What do Britons call or think of our Independence Day? :lookaroun:
