Your only option right now would be to try to get to a Disney resort, then hop a bus back to that park you were at originally. Phase three is closed to all incoming traffic except those arriving by resort bus.
I cannot guarantee that it will work, but it's better than sitting around wishing.
Phased closing levels:
Phase 1: Guests with MYW base tickets, one day tickets, guests with no admission, and CMs using a main gate are turned around at the Auto Plaza.
Phase 2: Only resort guests, AP/PAP, Park Hoppers, guests re-entering the same park admitted, ONLY if using a taxi or resort transportation. (Auto Plaza is closed)
Phase 3: Only resort guests and AP/PAP admitted. (Only resort transportation)
Phase 4: Closed to all guests. (No incoming transportation)

This breaks my heart for your children. I do hope you find a way back in.
I feel awful since it was my idea to leave. I didn't want my hubby to pass out. You would think that they would have a sign when we left at 1:00! It was already at a phase one closing then. A little warning would have been nice.
Where are you now? Things can change very quickly, so it does not hurt to attempt a re-entry.

If you could possibly find parking at DTD, you could take a bus to the Contemporary and walk over to the front of the park and at least get to see the fireworks.
We will definitely try! We are at orange lake and I just made reservations for Kobe for 8:30. Thinking that we can try after and ppl have left after fireworks.

If you can find your way to a turnstile, you should be Able to get in.
Yep the view from the Poly beach is fantastic.
Surprised to see it open up before the fireworks. Good news!

Ive never seen them being so restrictive-
The plan was to park at the Contemp take the rails to Epcot then back to the MK for fireworks- Well we ended up having to take the bus from Epcot to WLodge then boat back to the Contemp as the Monorail was reserved for only guests with resort IDs for Poly, Grand, Contemp or printouts of confirmed dining ressies then they had security guards at the Lodge checking park tickets/IDs for MK near the boat...
We came home instead-

Epcot was no busier than a busy Fri or Sat night during Food and Wine. I expected something closer to NYE and was plesantly surprised.

Craziness abound it sounds. Actually glad we opted to pass on going when we thought about doing it.
