This the one of the rare times I will give the nod to the competition....not only is the ride enjoyable but the moment the doors open and "welcome to Jurassic Park" blares it gives me goosebumps

Kong was once King at Universal.

Now he's reduced to a bored cameo that after a King Kong 3D short.

He's been reduced to a prince.

A regular Prince Valium, if you will.

Why are we seeing these constant WDW-Universal comparisons? I DON'T CARE.
Because if universal didn't exist, disney would not be making these new lands and rides.
Or they would, but in an alternate universe where, let's say six flags, was king, they would be vastly different.
EDIT: also if you don't care, why are you even visiting this thread? It's just for fun.

I agree with this for the simple reason that just because an attraction features dinosaurs doesn't mean it has to be all "X-TREME THRILLZERZ" like a 90s dude with one too many cans of Surge.

This jack@$$.

Anyway, I'm hoping that Disney has the forethought enough to re-home the UoE dinos at Animal Kingdom in a gentle alternative to "Dinosaur". Heck, bring in some of their brethren from Disneyland's Primeval Diorama that didn't make the cut for Epcot.

And maybe actually transition from era to era.
Case in point, the Triceratops, Ornithomimus, Trachodon, Pteranodon, and Elasmosaurus lived in the late Cretaceous while Brontosaurus*, Allosaurus, and Stegosaurus were both in the Jurassic. They wouldn't be inhabiting the same space.

*all these years, we believed Brontosaurus wasn't real and it was just an Apatosaurus. Apparently in 2015, Brontosaurus was brought back.
Yeah, for sure. I think that DAK could redo dinosaur land into some sort of paleontological jungle and they could totally have different rides depicting separate time periods with different style rides, i.e. a thrilling late cretaceous ride with T. rex and the extinction, or a tamer safari in the late jurassic with Apatosauruses and such. I love dinosaurs so either land could be improved with some safaris in my mind lol
