Journey to Atlantis is a boat ride/flume ride that turns into a roller coaster at the end. It is a pretty neat ride, nothing spectacular, but definately worth going on.

I won't call it a dark ride, because it's not like other dark rides such as Spider Man or anything that Disney has.

Imagine Splash Mtn or Dudley Do Rights (flume rides) with an added twist! A water coaster portion at the end that comes out of nowhere!

It's a lot of fun and the line does move pretty quick! Not too many fast passes handed out at Shamu's house!

If you're at SeaWorld, give it a try! It's a lot of fun!

As far as kids go, we have a 6 and 9 yr old. The 6 yr old loves it, now that he is tall enough. The 9 yr old was hesitant, so we would stand next to the splashdown area while her dad and brother went on. Great on a 90* day to cool off. Recently, she has decided to try it, and she likes it. the drop's a little steeper than she is comfortable with, so she prefers Splash Mt. but at least she will ride Atlantis with us.
(now we just have to wait for her to be tall enough for Kraken! she recently discovered that she liked CyberSpace Mountain at DisneyQuest, and wants to go upside down)

Its a great ride.... Try not to sit in the back row or you will have soggy feet for the rest of the day (All the water fills up at the back when going up the life hill).
