Journey to Atlantis

What do you guys think of Jounrey to Atlantis? I was excited about it because of it being a water "coaster". I was so disapointed to find the "coaster" was the last three seconds of the ride. And whoever created it hasd to be on acid at the time. It is out there.

I always thought it worked better when they told a story throughout the ride.

They had interviews with a local fisherman on the tv screens and then the ride was a development of that.

But when i went back this year I was a bit disappointed to discover they'd got rid of the story.

It actually made sense after a couple of rides, and i think it was better.

I thought it was cool. I did it with some friends, didn´t care too much for the story, it was raining, it was too cold inside the ride, then we got soaked at the drop and did it again! I had a great time that day! :)

Yeah, the TV's are still there, but now they dont show the interviews with the fisherman.

Now it just has a really bad video of a mime showing you how to get into the boats safely.

:hurl: (I hate mimes.)

i spent around $8 in change soaking people on the ride just after the main drop using the machines on the bridge - it was sooooo funny watching people as they congratulated each other on not getting that wet and then we press the button and a huge load of water gets dumped right on top of them

If you time it right, once they've rounded the corner at the bottom, then fire the water - whole boat soaked.

I only know this because some ******* soaked me by doing that!

I love J2A!!! I ride it every time I go to Sea World Orlando...I like the flume...the stomach-throat syndrome (where everything just shifts upward) is awesome...i've never ridden another ride (except JPRA at IOA) quite like it that has that sort of rush. I was extremely into the coaster part (it's the only coaster I would consider riding). I love the sensation that that element offers...J2A has been and will always be at the top of my "to do" list whenever I visit Sea World Orlando.
