Johnny Depp at POC grand re-opening?

I think that if he was coming to WDW(which I do not feel he is), it would be on the down low.

Also, I am wondering about the statement of Johnny Depp's lack of interest or so in "family orientation" of Disney and where that was officially stated by him because I would like to know the context. Every interview I have seen with him lately has been his interest in his family so I do not think that makes sense. Not saying it is false, just perplexing.

Another thing, if there is a Captn Jack look-alike found for the park as a meet and greet, I would love to be the scout out looking for him. Although I think it will be difficult to duplicate Mr Depp's awesome looks when it comes to the appeal of such a dirty character. All I can say is he is so fine as Captn Jack it is not even funny. My husband jokes with me about how I find him so attractive in this role.

isnt the premiere of the movie in florida though? i heard that somewhere, thats why i thought he might be there...

No, just like 2003 the premiere of the movie is in California. At Disneyland.

The Disneyland premiere party is Saturday, June 24th. The ride opens at Disneyland on June 25th. The movie opens in theaters in the rest of the country on July 7th. The ride opens at WDW on July 7th.

I think Depp was awesome as Jack Sparrow. The Fact that he did not win the oscar, i believe, is ridiculous. I think it has to do with the Academy's hatred of anything commercially successful
Anyway, as to Johnny Depp's comments about Disney's family orientation and his dislike of it, i have always found that Depp tends to be anti-establishment. He doesn't appear to think very highly of things that are too commercial.
I once saw an interview with him where he said he preferred to stick to indie movies, instead of mainstream hollywood movies.
Just my impression after seeing many, many interviews on TV.
