job shift to odf

Well, I left WDW Research in October, quit because of a family emergency up in NY. I didn't know how long I'd be. And I came back and got rehired in F&B at an outdoor food cart in MK. According to my training schedule, it's the 'nut wagon'. Anyone know of any MK 'nut wagon' locations? I know there's a stand that sells sugared almonds (I think) by the Tiki room in Adventureland. Oh, and any other CR's in F&B have any thoughts on the union?

Do you know more specifically where in Fantasyland? I usually just blow through there towards Philharmagic after riding IASW. I hope it's not that one. I don't think the Fantasyland costume would do me justice.

I'm not worried about long hours or whatever. I'm CR, so I'm only working two days a week. As for gossip and such, I'm not there to talk, I'm there to work. I am interested in more info about Stocker, Inventory and GT (what is a GT?) The best part about Disney is how many places there are to work, so if I hate this job or it sucks, I'll move to another position!

Stocker-the people you see pushing the carts in the crowds of people. You need to be REALLY strong, and not mind having a rash between your legs at all times.

Inventory-Basically the mangers when the managers aren't there. They send out the stock, count the stock, and a lot more.

GT- General Teller-sends out the money, counts the money, deals with the POSs and a lot more.

if you're working nut carts- watch out for squirrels -- they're not afraid of humans and they will come up to the cart and try to grab nuts
also watch out for lightning -- I was working a nut cart and it started to rain -- I ran inside a store and a minute later a gigantic bolt of lightning came down on top of my cart

yea we played in the "unofficial" league this past summer-Fridays 11pm -3am

we played MGM ODF and MGM sunset ranch market
but it would have been cool to play you guys

actually the epcot ODF costumes for FW and WS were nice
red shirt, khakis and a white hat

ahh...the nut cart. A good summer I had there. Peanut is the squirel there. Popcorn stays over by the popcorn cart. Yes, I could tell the difference between the two squirels...

Epcot and MK ODFs are both great. The weridest thing is they both have their "legendary GTs" :lol:

Epcot has them, but never "has" them when I wander by.. and lord knows i'm thewre enough to wander by frequently enough that odds should be in my favor by this point

well one of the reasons they may have been out was that a batch of nuts takes about 20-30mins to cook
if the vendor isn't making extras, it is easy to run out quickly
