This just popped up early on Wednesday morning on the front page of Micechat.com

Looks like Disneyland might be getting another E Ticket holiday overlay. But talk about coming out of left field!

Editor's Note: October 16, 2013: Disneyland Holiday Cruise: TDA is working on the final phases of a stealth plan to add one more Christmas overlay to Disneyland this season. Dubbed the "Jingle Cruise", it features a decorative holiday overlay to the original Jungle Cruise with the skippers delivering a new spiel and holiday jokes. It doesn't have the big budget that the Haunted Mansion or Small World holiday overlays get, but it could be clever with the right skipper at the helm.

What do you guys think? It sounds like it might be hilarious and fun, or really quite bad. Like the note says from the Micechat staff, it's going to depend on the skipper. I'm picturing African elephants wearing Santa hats, and gorillas shaking reindeer bells. o_O

I guess i am the only one thus far not overly keen on the idea, but i am sure APers and locals will enjoy the temporary change.

I find it a little silly....but perhaps that is the intent...?

Will this go live with the rest of the Christmas festivities in early Nov.?
I'll be there for the debut of WoC: Winter Dreams and I would be interested to check out the Jingle Cruise if it's going at that time.
Sounds like it could have huge potential for flop, but I'm willing to give it a go once at least!

Now official coming to DL and MK in Nov -
In this new seasonal storyline of the attraction, the Skippers have grown homesick for the holidays, so they’ve added holiday cheer to the Jungle Cruise queue and boathouse with decorations that have been mailed to them from home (plus a few they’ve created themselves). The Skippers have also added a slew of new jokes to their tours that are the perfect way to get guests in the holiday spirit. Additionally, Jungle Cruise boats have been renamed with the holidays in mind, and if guests listen carefully, they may hear a holiday-themed radio broadcast playing in the background.

Jingle Cruise will begin launches in early November at both parks. Be sure to keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more updates!

Interesting they are doing this at MK as well. I've always wondered why they don't do IASW Holiday there. I get not doing NBC but IASW holiday is the same message/ride just plussed for the holidays.
