I vaguely remember seeing people riding jet skis at Disney World. When did they discontinue this?

I believe they were also losing money on the rentals and they were no longer turning a profit on the rentals vs cost of maintenance/upkeep and staffing.

Things got a lot scarier when guests started drawing the gators in by continuing to give them food from the resort areas.
When the Poly bungalows on the water opened up at $2K per night , some guests were standing outside their bungalow patio and throwing food into the water to feed the nearby gators.

The world would be so much nicer if people weren't so stupid or at the very least ignorant.
When the Poly bungalows on the water opened up at $2K per night , some guests were standing outside their bungalow patio and throwing food into the water to feed the nearby gators.
And then the child died by gator and no one can even get close to that water now. As a species we really don't deserve to survive anymore. Our hardly even educated ancestors had more common sense in their little fingers than today human has in their entire body.

Honeymoon at the Contemporary in 1977 you could swim, ski, jet ski, sail etc. That was when the lake was new and the gator population was low. Gators became protected and the population grew along with dumb people feeding them now the lake is off limits
The amoeba are what you have to worry about more than the gators and why nobody has been allowed to swim there since the early 90s
