Today I visited Epcot and bought my first annual pass in 5 years! :sohappy: When at the park, I saw a couple of things:

1. Test Track is still down for its Refurb/Track Resurfacing and the entire building is walled off. Oddly enough, the gift shop and Car Showroom are still open...
2. Japan is still under refurbishment but many of the tarps on the pagoda are now down.
3. China is beginning its refurbishment and one its buildings is sporting a new look: Tarps are in this season!
4. Spaceship Earth has yet to show any sign of Siemens' presence anywhere. Also, the ride was running slower than normal and stopped almost four times during our ride.
5. The Wonders of Life Pavilion was closed for the day with that side of Future World clearly abandoned.
6. Universe of Energy was clompletely empty and it was a "Walk-On" ride.
7. Journey into Imagination actually had a 5 minute wait to get on today. (Also, I don't know if anyone noticed but in the gift shop coming out of Imageworks, the old staircase is there and you can look up to see the old spiraling metalwork and the inside of the Glass Pyramid... I just noticed it today!)
8. The focus of Future World seemed to be on The Living Seas with lines in excess for Turtle Talk with Crush. The lights seemed to be dimmed and the new paint job helped to make the interior of the pavilion hard to see and uncomfortable for the eyes to look at.
9. Next to The Living Seas, The Land had normal size lines for Soarin' but no lines for Circle of Life or Living with the Land. The average wait time today was 65 minutes.
10. The tinting on Journey into Imagination's left pyramid has begun to fade, making it easy to see inside of the old Imageworks area, making it more evident to tourists new to the park that something was once/is up there.

Photos from the update will be on Dreamfinder Forever this week!

Jedimaster out!

Thanks for the update. When I was in The Land on the morning of the 10th Liveing with The Land was a 40-45min wait I'm gussing it was people were killing time before their FP for Soarin' came up. I also noticed SSE stoping more & more lately but I'm used to it by now so I pass it off as normal. That side of Invo. the night of the 8th was also "dead" looking. UOE was walk-on for me to the night of the 8th which is always nice.(so was SSE)TTw/C Had a decent 40 or so min. wait the morning of the 11th its amazing to see how popular its become from when it first opened. Thanks again for the update.

When the ride is running slower than normal they are running in what is essentialy wheelchair mode. Nothing was wrong with the ride at all. The stops you mention were them stopping the ride to allow for handicap guests to get on and off the ride. A good rule to live by is that if a ride stops and you don't have to be evacutated then there is a 95% chance it had nothing to do with the ride at all. Most times these are either handicaped guests, stupid guests, or someone dropping something that triggers a sensor in the ride.

I understand about the handicapped stops and that kind of thing but I have never seen the ride stop so much before.

Also, a side note, the new TVs at the beginning of Spaceship Earth's incline light up the tunnel too much, ruining the old pitch black experience.

Nice report, Jedi. In regards to the tinting on Imagination's pyramids, that's a bit of a shame. Part of the symbolism was that you couldn't see into the imagination, but oh, the things your imagination could see. When you were inside the upstairs image works, you could see the entire park. But from outside, you couldn't see in. By the way -- you can still go up there... sort of. If you take the Undiscovered Future World tour, they usually take you up there for a while.

Call 407-WDW-TOUR to book it. Very neat tour. Keep in mind that every tour is different, depending on the guide and other factors -- so any portion of the tour may or may not be there on your particular day. So... take it for the sake of taking the tour -- don't absolutely count on seeing any one thing.
