Today I visited Epcot and bought my first annual pass in 5 years! :sohappy: When at the park, I saw a couple of things:
1. Test Track is still down for its Refurb/Track Resurfacing and the entire building is walled off. Oddly enough, the gift shop and Car Showroom are still open...
2. Japan is still under refurbishment but many of the tarps on the pagoda are now down.
3. China is beginning its refurbishment and one its buildings is sporting a new look: Tarps are in this season!
4. Spaceship Earth has yet to show any sign of Siemens' presence anywhere. Also, the ride was running slower than normal and stopped almost four times during our ride.
5. The Wonders of Life Pavilion was closed for the day with that side of Future World clearly abandoned.
6. Universe of Energy was clompletely empty and it was a "Walk-On" ride.
7. Journey into Imagination actually had a 5 minute wait to get on today. (Also, I don't know if anyone noticed but in the gift shop coming out of Imageworks, the old staircase is there and you can look up to see the old spiraling metalwork and the inside of the Glass Pyramid... I just noticed it today!)
8. The focus of Future World seemed to be on The Living Seas with lines in excess for Turtle Talk with Crush. The lights seemed to be dimmed and the new paint job helped to make the interior of the pavilion hard to see and uncomfortable for the eyes to look at.
9. Next to The Living Seas, The Land had normal size lines for Soarin' but no lines for Circle of Life or Living with the Land. The average wait time today was 65 minutes.
10. The tinting on Journey into Imagination's left pyramid has begun to fade, making it easy to see inside of the old Imageworks area, making it more evident to tourists new to the park that something was once/is up there.
Photos from the update will be on Dreamfinder Forever this week!
