Jaws Refurb

Has any one rode On Jaws since its reopening yesterday (8th Feb) are there any noticable changes? (Has the ending changed? like it was rumoured too?) any pics would be great aswell

No, the ending hasn't changed, but apparently the sharks have gotten new skins and lots of paint and cleaning has happened.

Not much has changed. All of the sharks got new skins. Their paint jobs were all pretty much the same as they were before, except for Dead Shark who kind of looks like Darth Maul now (very red/black), and Boathouse Shark, who sadly is missing his eyes :brick:. The gas docks have been repainted/cleaned to get rid of the scorched look. The Orca has been taken out completely, and is going to be replaced. Chum Barrels are still MIA, should be put back in eventually.

My favorite result of the refurb is in the final scene, when Kill Shark is attacking the boat, a huge tidal wave soaks everybody of the the left side of the boat, rows 1-5. It's hilarious. We can't decide whether it was put there on purpose or if it's just a result of the timing of the shots being really off in that scene, but all of us skippers really hope it stays for good! :lol:

Well I'm glad to know I'm not crazy! I rode it the other day and got soaked which baffled me because I'd never gotten wet on that ride, ever. The skipper kept going on and on about it being a water ride and how you would get wet and we all thought she was being sarcastic since we'd never seen anyone get wet before.

Yes I know it is fake...I just am not big on scary things popping out at you.

I would say no .... however if you are affraid of sharks I would probably say yes although the skippers commentary is very OTT (But in a good way)

Coool..I am getting all excited about going to the studios now...I am loving the fact that all the good rides are getting refurbs

I haven't been on it since the paint job, mainly because JAWS always has the longest line! It's an oldie buy goodie!
