Jambo vs Kidani??

pictures would be great and what do these cups look like?? :) I've heard alot about them!
There are some pretty awesome youtube videos of the two resorts as well you should check out. I'm not sure what the rules are on mentioning specific Youtubers on this site but there is a certain rental company that has some great ones. That's how we ended up at Kidani (although I will say that when we go next year, we are splitting on a Three Bedroom and have specifically requested Jambo, don't like the two levels in the Kidani ones). I'd post our pictures but they are mostly of us swimming in the pool (which is way better than the Jambo one, IMHO, especially if you are bringing wee ones). Maybe I will post the ones of the Savannah. Waking up to Giraffes is amazing, absolutely amazing.

Here are a few images of the parking situation at Kidani Village...

The first is at dawn, and it shows the Timon elevator (It is kind of blurry) Also of note in this image is, through the trees, there is a structure in the background, that actually is the back of the shelters for the various bus stops you will be taking to the parks. This is to show you though how close you can park to the elevator. The second picture is basically of the parking garage under the resort, and the third is of the entrance to the garage.

I have a TON more pictures of AKL, so if there are specifics, let me know, and I will do the best I can at seeing if I have anything. The resort is so massive, it hard to pick specific pictures, and some of the things I don't want to spoil. Also, do feel free to ask questions, though. :)

I'm excited to see everything in person!! Thanks for the view of the parking lot.. Do the buses travel regularly to kidani from the parks? Will there be a bus schedule listed somewhere ? How long should we give to get to mk? I want to be there for rope drop.. Thanks again :)

I understood that you are going thru Disney, I was just saying that had you rented DVC(which is also disney) you can add it there too.
Here's an idea of what they look like, may not be the exact design right now but the point was to give you a general idea. :)

Actually, if you were renting and wanted dining, they could add it on and you'd get the mug anyway lol!
Yes I know that. I was asking a completely different question. I add the dining plan on for my renters all of the time. Some companies that rent points will not add the dining plan though. It just depends on who it is.

Then The Mara situation is even easier just drive next door takes 3 min. Lol. That's what we do. Also use the covered parking under the resort as a bargaining tool.
Tell him about the huge seperate shower in the master that he could use at the same time you take a bath if you want that (my hubby loves the shower at Kidani) you can't do that at Jambo, and your teenage daughter can have her own full bathroom with the tub/shower. The kitchen finishes is even nicer and has a seating area at the counter with stools besides your table and chairs. Jambo does not but I know your not cooking but it looks nicer! Haha! I /we don't cook on vacay either!! Plus it's $70 cheaper! A win win! :D

We're all for saving money so yes. I was quoting it and it was more for kidani then I quoted a few weeks later and it was $70 less, not sure why?! So, we did change to the kidani and I think having 2 bathrooms will be a plus.. I never thought of just driving over, how's the parking, is it hard to get a parking spot? Is it reserved?

Yep and even if you request Sunset and don't get it Pembe Savannah has the gorgeous shy Okapi that is fun to watch. We always request Sunset Savannah but lately have been giving us Pembe but have had Sunset a few times. Both have there own perks. :)

Do I call them to request that or can it be done online?

If we had to go back to the AKL we'd stay at Kidani simply for the buses. With 2 kids and a stroller there were times where we couldn't even board the first bus and would have to wait for the next one. We were there 2 years ago for the Christmas party and wanted to get to the MK in time to watch Elsa light up the castle. Even though we left early enough to make it, the buses were too full and we ended up having to take a cab to the MK to get there on time.

wow! good to know.. we're going towards the end of sept. I hope that's a good time to go.. we will have a stroller too.
