Jack Sparrow Question

I've noticed in several promotional videos and adverts for Disney World that they anytime they show Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial they show Jack's pirate assistant interacting with the guests..But no sight of Jack in any that I've seen...Is there a legal right for using him since he's a Johnny Depp look-alike?

I don't really know the correct answer for this, but I'm sure they're is no legal trouble in showing the character in person at MK, but since those are for promotional purposes I believe they can't actually show Jack Sparrow. Not sure. I think it was the same thing when the Studios' still had the MGM name on it.
