J&J for Wonders of Life

With the bad situation that Wonders of Life is in, and Disney's shortage of sponsors, we should petition Johnson and Johnson to take over sponsorship of WoL and help to invigorate the poorly executed good idea.

J&J can be contacted at:
http://www.jnj.com/contact_us/contact_us_form.htm?catg=General Inquiries

It just seems the focus of the two companies is well aligned and may be a good fit...just a thought.

Oh, thought I should add, this isn't totally random...I work for J&J

Yeah we do need a new sponser, but they're are a bunch of other Health Related Companys. We can always try Pfizer, Procter and Gamble, the folks who make Powerbars. I've been having bad dreams about the fate of WoL....

I hope I didn't help that. :lookaroun

There are so many medical/insurance companies out there. . . heck, like Kyle suggested, multi-sponsors! So much potential here.

If I owned a compnay like J&J I wouldn't want to sponsor WoL. The pavilion has nothing to it anymore (sorry if that bothers anyone). Unless big improvements were going to be made, I wouldn't want to sponsor it. I would need something that would actually bring people to the pavilion. Unfortunately companies don't care about the peacefulness and nostalgia of a pavilion.

And what harm would big improvement do? :D

Not Petitions

I'm not sure a few online petitions will cause anything...

I agree with you, but I'm not suggesting petitions. Individual letters (E or snail) to a consumer company recieve different consideration that would letters or petitions to Disney. If they think about this and consider it a viable use of advertizing dollars, they will call Disney.

I like the idea of shared sponsorship, but that gets into a very careful balance. GM Test Track with Ford's World of Motion? Kodak's Honey I Shrunk with Fuji's Journey to your Imagination and Nikon's Imaginarium? Eli Lilly's Cranium Command with the J&J body encounter and Pfizers blue rocket cars (couldn't go where I started to... :o )

Then to my weather pavilion of course sponsored by the Weather Channel with the tornado ride sponsored by State Farm, Hurricane encounter from Al Roker and the Today show, a rotating monthly sponsor and appearance by a regional station weather person.

Yea, that can happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I like the idea of J&J sponsoring, but wouldn't that already conflict with Disney's contract with Nestle? I wouldn't have thought so until my last trip where I discovered that all of the baby goods at Disney are supplied by Nestle (before that I didn't even know Nestle made baby formula). Anyway, since Nestle and J&J compete in those areas, would Disney be allowed to contract with J&J?

It all depends on what is written in the contract with Nestle. I know the Kodak contract didn't allow Fuji Film to sponsor a mountain attraction disney wanted to have in Epcot.

You are right that it is surprising what company product lines include, but J&J does not make formula or baby foods so there probably wouldn't be a conflict there.

Hmmm.... Pfizer and WoL. I can see it now...

Yes and we can be throwing footballs through tires and have dueling high speed bathtub rides (competitive products yes, but the ideas here could be endless, and get me thrown off the boards) :o  :o

Maybe Trojan could sponsor it.

I'm going to stop there...I had about a billion ride ideas and even a cool Trojan Man meet n greet but alas I feel that my mind has again gone too far.

I'm going to have to ask you to say it a little louder this time so I can hear you!

As far as a sponsor, there are so many possibilities the list could be end-less. Has anyone contacted J&J, and if so, have you heard back from them. I would love to see someone at least give it a try, or maybe a few compaines try to sponsor it. If you want a good sponsor, try Tate & Lyle (if that's still who they are and haven't merged with anyone). They seem to make everything these days. Oh, and I don't work for any of them, I'm just in real estate. :snore:

You wouldn't happen to work at the Royston, GA plant do you? Our company has a monitoring system in that plant.
