Strongly disagree there. I think wearable technology is exactly the next big thing. Might be Apples watch, might be Google glass, or might be something else - but wearable is where it is at. Lots and lots of R&D going into that area right now.
I will have to disagree, but only time will tell which one of us is right.

For those of you saying you think wearable technology is too much, and you can't be any more connected then you are now, I have some bad news.

You have to think about it this way; eventually the younger generations are going to be the adults, right? And as of right now, they love being connected to their devices, and I'm sure wouldn't mind being connected even more. If the younger generations are willing to purchase and enjoy these wearable products, then sadly they will become almost as much a necessity as their smart phones.

Don't want to sound Grim, but pretty soon the younger generation will be in charge, and if they want to be attached to technology at the hip, then they will be.

Think about it as technological progressivism. (LOL)
You may be right or wrong.... Steve Jobs said the same exact thing about his apple computer product. IBM was the system that companies used. But Jobs gave universities, etc... free apple computers. Why because he said the youth of that day would demand apples over the IBM/IBM clones, and the companies would have to then buy them. Well guess what.... he was wrong. So again you may be right or you may be wrong.

I'm not talking about Apple specifically, I'm talking about wearable technology in general. And it seems that with the huge interest in Google Glass (people willing to spend $1500 to TEST it) I can see this becoming just as big if not larger then the smart phone business.

I'd much rather have a phone in my pocket I can get out and use anytime then WEARING a tacky bulky watch or goofy (no Disney relation intended) glasses

A phone that falls out of my pocket in a show in spite of my paranoia about it doing just that and then trying to convince a cast member it's mine by calling it from my wife's phone. Of course that doesn't work because cell service is so bad in the parks that it doesn't ring. Though I was lucky to have her phone since it fell out of her pocket a day earlier on the monorail and a cast member found it.... maybe I need to find some technology that I can wear instead. Never dropped or lost my watch.

you do know you can technically wear a cell phone on your belt or purchase a case for your phone right?
also what makes you thing the other devices needing to send/receive data would work in the parks if the cell phones can't? Personally I've never had a problem with my phone voice or data service within the parks
