Would you say it's too informal to go in a dining room? (We've never had a formal dining room before, only a dining area joined with the living room) We're going with a more modern decorating style, and I thought it kinda goes with that.
You know I really like it, Kat. And it's simple enough that it leaves you alot of room for creativity when decorating it (centerpieces, etc) :)

I think it would be great because you can either dres it up with more formal tableware or make it more casual. It would fit both perfectly. And still accomplish the modern look you are going for.

Yay! And I agree... that's kind of what I was thinking. I just wish it had a buffet that went with it. It has a buffet/hutch which is HUGE! I just want the short buffet part, to place food dishes on when I'm entertaining...

Yay! Thanks! I need encouragement when I'm about to spend $$ on big items.

Oh me too. I have to get tons of opinions so that I don't impulse buy.
I can't impulse buy. I think it's near impossible for me. I research something to death and then ask other people's opinions. I don't think others' opinions would CHANGE my mind... I think I just look for affirmation. It's hard with DH, b/c he would impulse buy anything. So I need to bounce it off other, more prudent people. ;)

I just get overly excited about getting new things that I tend to impulse buy more than I should. Most of the time, I get home and am like "yeah that's going back." The last few big purchases I bought I did do the research and look around before I bought them.

Well, thanks for your opinion guys! I may buy it tonight. It'd be good to have SOMETHING in the dining room other than boxes for when comapny comes over during the Christmas holiday.

When I moved out of my parents house to Florida, when they came for Christmas (I moved Dec 16) I still had a washing machine in my living room.:o Our maintenence men took forever to switch them out.
