Yes it is true :) More like foam particles than snow though but still looks great. Things are placed on the roofs on Main Street the blow it out. Still in the Christmas mood I see :D
Awesome. Hey! Have you been there when this happens? We went to a Christmas themed show years ago in Glasgow and this white stuff resembling snow fell down and was landing on every one,but it was sticky, people were going ballistic as kids were screaming and running out of the auditorium.

I don't know what type Disney uses, however I have made artifical falling snow for plays using bubble bath, rubbing alcohol and water. We use a machine that blows it through a cone and fabric. The snow falls and then disapates. It looks very real. It tastes awful os it is funny to see a member of the cast talking and get it in their month. Clean up can be a little difficult (suds) so we always cover the floor. That is what I know about it. The snow they use at DHS seems tobe the same type. I don't know what they use in MK.

I love MK snow. Yes I know it's fake (I get enough of the real stuff at home in Chicago) but it amazed me as both a child and adult during the Christmas party. Here's a link to snow info from the company that Disney contracts out to do their MVMCP effect. I do not know if this is the same as the Osbourne light company. If you poke around their website it tells you that the soap is non toxic, hypo allergenic, bio degradable etc... http://www.effectspecialist.com/Everwonderwhy.htm

I was there in December 2008 and it was about 35 degrees out... The snow felt so real! I couldn't get enough hot chocolate!

Last year it was 78 degrees in WDW. Snow was falling and I was mesmerized. I grew up in either northern New York state or Northern Vt. All within 50 miles from the Canadian Border. That's 63 years of dealing with the real stuff. What got me the most was that it reacted just like real snow, it would hit your arm or clothing or the pavement, stay for a couple of seconds and then just appear to melt.

Snow is so much more pleasant at 78 degrees.

I had to keep a lens cloth handy to keep wiping the "snow" off of my camera lens during MVMCP! o_O That stuff is gross when it comes to your camera!

In the MK you'll only see it if you go to one of the Christmas Parties (or if you're leaving the MK as one is beginning)
Actually, you'll also see it during regular park hours in the weeks of Christmas/NYE after the last MVMCP has ended as well. Seasonal AP's are blacked out during that time and it's high, high peak, but they do it those nights as well.

It also stinks if you wear glasses and it gets on the lenses because it S-M-U-D-G-E-S something nasty. Looks awesome "falling" though.
