Odd choice by American to charge for ALL checked luggage, when nobody else seems to have adopted that model. Maybe they're trying to coax their competitors into doing the same.

JP,

The airfare for my September trip on American is already paid for, thus has already been ticketed(way before the ticketing date of American charging the $15 for first bag). Will I be able to check my bag at the resort check in for my departure flight?

From my understanding, yes. The Resort Airline Check-In Desk can check any luggage that does not impose a fee. Since you purchased your airline tickets prior to June 15th, you should be OK.

For further clarification you should consult your airline directly.

Thanks JP,

The person I talked to at AA had no clue is to what "Disney Resort Check in" is.
