Its Getting Old

Before I begin I just want to say I am not going to favor any side, so I dont want to hear that Im favoring one later.

You know I have been a fan of the Disney and Universal since I can remember. Since Ive gotten older, I have been following the parks by visiting various News and Rumors sites(including this one) and have payed close attention to the forums because I like to hear everyones thoughts about the parks. However, lately people on the forums have been bashing the respective parks, moreso on this site. I mean I read at one point that its the Disney fans vs UO fans and thats ridiculous.

On this site, Ive read alot of your bashing to UO but some of your reasons are the commercial is bashing Disney so I wont go there, or Disney is just better so I hate UO and wont go there. Now Im not saying this to persuade people to go; I mean if its not your cup of tea then dont drink it, but there is probably a good amount of people who have never visited UO and have bashed them. If UO honestly did something to make your park visit horrible (and I dont mean you didnt like the park overall, but like they were rude or just everything broke on you) then I could understand.

I guess I noticed this when there was a Mummy vs. Everest post. People were bashing each ride and saying each one sucks when its not even open yet. I guess it continues on the theory that today its Guilty unitl proven Innocent.

I will continue this post when I get back from work as Im already late but I will get to more of my thoughts later.

Yeah, I think some people think that if you love WDW, there's no way you could also like Universal. When I was a kid, we always did WDW and Universal. I couldn't imagine going to Orlando and only staying on WDW property. I also couldn't imagine only staying at Universal and not going to WDW.

In my opinion, you cannot compare the two- they are two seperate attractions- it would be like comparing apples to oranges. Most of the attractions at UO are very high quality and have great theming. The parks have a lot to offer, so don't knock them until you've tried them. -Stephanie

See I am the same way. I think the both rock and don't really see why anyone could hate both of them. Universal has its thing and so does Disney.

Well, we have always gone to both WDW & Universals, but this year we are only doing WDW. We made this decision after we knew who all in our group was going. Unfortunatly UO didn't have as many attractions for the little bitty ones (last trip I spent a good 3 hours in Seuss area w/ our then 2 yr old...my rear end probably left a permanant indention on Red Fish/ Blue Fish). I don't knock any of them, each park has something that appeals to everyone in our group. For us it came down to the almighty $$$. That is the one reason we haven't been to Sea World in probably 5 years.
